Rachel Zand, PhD
President
For over 20 years, Rachel has been a leader in the research ethics field in creating policy, strategy and training. Her expertise includes biomedical and sociobehavioural research, research data management, privacy, ethics of AI and Machine Learning, and organizational change management.

She has received multiple awards and honours for dedication to the field, including the Canadian Association of Research Ethics Boards (CAREB) President's Award in 2017 after serving for 10 years on its Board of Directors, including 2 years as President.

About Us
Zand Consulting Inc. was created after recognizing that institutional IRBs/REBs and their administrative offices need support in developing efficient and effective processes, generalized and specialized training to meet ethical and regulatory standards. They also seek a resource for nuanced advice, based on the method, host country or site, participant group, and sensitivity of the research. As the field of human research continues to change with technologies, we help to identify and resolve novel ethical challenges.
